G.H. Strauss
Artist Statement:
I am a New York-based photographer creating wide-ranging photographic images in black and white and color since 1990. They frequently are characterized by “spontaneous discovery” of people, places and animals. My portfolios are organized around these themes: Surreal Images, New York Scenes, Street Art, Landscapes and Cityscapes, Images of Race and Class, Dogs Are People Too, Images
of Provence, France and Jazz Musicians. My work appeared in two national juried group shows as well as several solo exhibits in public and private spaces during 1993-1994. Since then I ran a public relations firm for 16 years while continuing to photograph offbeat and
traditional subjects that interest me. Most recently, I have exhibited my work at several frame shop/galleries in the Tristate Area and now at the WSAC Gallery in Manhattan.
