Changing careers later in life, would mean going back to school. When I turned fifty, I did exactly that. I Now have a degree from BMCC in Multi Media Art, I can now finish what I began. Setting goals and working towards them makes for a life without regrets. Recently, I was looking to do something different and outstanding. While on vacation one day on a farm out on Lancaster, Pennsylvania I saw a pile of slate, that gave me an idea. Why not use it as a support? My vision would be to use the slate tile’s natural shape. Since acquiring the slate, I have completed one collection titled, Compositions on Slate about reinventing life. My second collection titled, Chasing My Dreams is about setting goals, re-evaluating them, and moving forward. When anyone views my art they will be able to say, “Proof that a person can reinvent life, after fifty.”
