Bio:
Mikki Powell
is a self-taught artist, born in Harlem, NYC. She has enjoyed
a career of 27 years as a casting director for TV commercials,
Broadway Musicals and films. In connection with her show business
career, she has traveled extensively. Her subjects are people
of color and a combination of attitude and emotion.
Ms. Powell's
work is part of numerous private collections. She has exhibited
her work in galleries in NYC, Florida, New Jersey and Hollywood
Ca. She is currently a resident of Harlem, NYC.
She has
attended FIT and Columbia University in NYC.
