HARRY PERONIUS
Artist Statement:
I am a documentary photographer, originally from Finland and Sweden, now residing on the Upper West Side. Cultural diversities, human faces and street life fascinate me. Many of my projects are from my travels, especially to India. My project areas include the Stockholm subway, everyday life in a small village and a Shiva-temple, both in India. A recent project is about reconstruction work in the Gulf area after Katrina. A project entitled Death is Part of Life, shows the work of undertakers in Sweden.
