RICHARD MURRAIN

Bio:
Richard Murrain has been painting and drawing most of his natural life. Born to George and Belle Murrain on October 19, 1949, he received encouragement from his parents who were both artists. Having been raised in New York City, he studied art at Grace Dodge Vocational High School, thus graduating in 1967. He studied graphic design at the Pan American Art School and at the Gap Workshop. Richard later attended the Fashion Institute of Technology. In the years 2000 and 2002 he held two different one-man shows at the Countee Cullen Llibrary. The media he works in are acrylic, oil, pastel and watercolor.
