Bio:

A former abstract painter, I have been concentrating mainly in photography for the past fifteen years and I work in both black and white and in color. My color slides are frequently combined with other color images or with black and white images and then made into Cibachrome prints.

I have also been experimenting with black and white images printed on silk and tinted with colored pencils, in addition to experimenting with the reversal of both form and color. I am searching for a way to combine painting and photography through the use of alternative printing processes.

The slides included here reflect my growing interest in the abstraction of natural elements and of design. My photography has been published in Manhattan Arts Magazine and in The Best of Photography, 1991.

In addition to the above endeavors, I also write poetry, plays and non-fiction. I have two published books on theater and a book of non-fiction which will be published in 2002. My poetry has been published in two anthologies, Our World's Favorite Gold and Silver Poems and Seasons of Life and will be appearing in another anthology in 2002.

My life has been totally dedicated to Art and in this I have been influenced by the great painters, Monet, Klimt and the Symbolists, and also by Isadora Duncan, the pioneer of Modern Dance, whose persistence of will and keenness of vision, in spite of great personal tragedy, has inspired me through out my life. The beauty of art and nature has remained a close and constant companion providing me with love and inspiration, influencing both my photography and my writing and has given me a profound sense of reverence for all of life which I have striven to show in my work.
