Statement:
My
work is not the product of a conscious or intellectual plan
on my part. I like to create lively freewheeling paintings with
an intuitive feeling, as though the image springs directly from
my unconscious in the manner of automatic writing. Every painting
is not a plan but a journey, the purpose of which is to bring
me to a surprising and unexpected conclusion.
