Statement:

What I believe about my work is that it is spiritually inspired.  Every aspect of my life is influenced  by this acknowledgement.  People are always listing all the things that I do, but it is all for one purpose, the different tools just allow me to use what is necessary to accomplished my goal and the goal is, to touch hearts and minds.  To remind us that the only important thing in this world is Love.  Everything else is baggage.  I look forward to the time when, we realize that all the negative things that happen are created by us, and thus begin to create a more positive environment for ourselves and the generations that will follow us.

Peace, Love & Light for You, Me and Our's,
KA

Bio:

Khuumba Ama is not only a designer of beautiful, elegant, one-of-a-kind fine jewelry (energy pieces).  She is also a photographer/videographer, who is currently working on a documentary about the ‘Baye Fall’ Movement, taking place in Senegal, West Africa.  (The Baye Falls are considered the Dreadlock Mystics of Senegal).

Ms. Ama is the creator and owner of Khuumba’s Creative Images, which includes Papillon Black Productions and Scents of Khuumba.

The Scents of Khuumba division of her company produces a line of Bath and Beauty products, whose popularity is spreading throughout the USA and the Virgin Islands.

Khuumba is also known as the “Feel Good Poet”, using her verses to encourage love and overstanding.  She has hosted and featured at various venues around the New York area, US/British Virgin Islands, Caribbean Islands and Africa.  Her poetry has been featured on NY1 and just recently in the “A Harlem Story” exhibition and art tour, as part of a painting created by artist Elton Tucker (the work can be viewed at www.wsacny.org/tucker).  Khuumba also writes verses for the Hannibal Productions greeting card company.

This Multi Media Artist is also a talented Curator and Arts & Crafts Director.  Khuumba Ama is available for workshops, photo/video shoots, poetry events, theater productions and art exhibits.
